Tajikistan Delegation Tours Niwot - May 2012

A delegation from Tajikistan toured Niwot May 23 with Leslie Swirhan of the Boulder County Transportation Department and Niwot residents and LID members Laura Skaggs and Biff Warren.
They were able to speak with local business owners Karen Adler and Bert Steele about the community, and were especially interested in how projects get done.
One delegate especially liked the idea of selling beer at a profit to help fund concerts in the park.
Others indicated that one of their greatest difficulties is collecting taxes for infrastructure improvements.
