For Courier Duck, There’s No Place Like Home

After traveling 1940 miles from Florida to Colorado, the Courier Duck has made it back. While still in seclusion until the Sixth Annual Left Hand Valley Courier Duck Race, the duck is thrilled to be back in our fair burg.
On top of that, it’s thrilling to know that so many people have cared enough to send in names. Kudos for all the great suggestions.
The winning entry will be announced at the Duck Race at Nostalgia Day on Saturday, Sept. 8.
The race will be held, as usual, on Dry Creek at Centerbridge Road. Everyone is holding their breath that the creek doesn’t live up to its name. I’m thinking of organizing a rain dance a few days before the race.
