These words were penned shortly before her death by Rachel Scott, the first student killed at the Columbine High School shooting in 1999. Her life and writings, through a program called Rachel’s Challenge, have inspired thousands of students around the world to make a pledge to continue Rachel’s legacy by looking for the best in others, dreaming big, choosing positive influences, speaking with kindness and starting their own chain reaction.
