Natural Gas Leak
At Gunbarrel Amoco
On Friday, Sept. 8, at approximately
1 p.m. a natural gas leak at the Gunbarrel Amoco, located on Lookout and
Spine Roads, shut down the Gunbarrel Shopping Center. According to reports,
G & G Fueling Systems, Inc., the maintenance crew on the scene, broke
the natural gas line causing the entire area to be evacuated for three

Jolene Radostis moved to
Heatherwood when she was ten years old. She and her husband Dann bought
a house there ten years ago to raise their own family. "I think one of
the reasons people like to live in Heatherwood is that it’s still rural.
It’s surrounded by open space," she said.

Swimmer Annie Stein?
Annie Stein is a 15-year-old
sophomore at Niwot High School who one day hopes to compete as an Olympic
swimmer.
While other teens are still
sleeping, Annie is up at 4 a.m. for an hour and fifty minute practice.
Then, after a full day of classes, she returns
to the pool for a three hour practice. Arriving home in early
evening, she has dinner before tackling homework. Finally, it’s bedtime.
But at 4 a.m. it’s time to do it all again. {Full

Honors Dick Piland
C. J.'s Cottonwood Cafe was
a pleasurable backdrop for an interview with this month’s honorable Left
Hand Laurel, Richard (Dick) Piland.
Beginning the first weekend in June for the last several years, Dick has
been umpiring the annual Baseball Tournament for Niwot Youth Sports (NYS).
