There was be a candlelight vigil tonight at 8:30 p.m. on the football field at Niwot High School, to honor student and football player David Louwers. Louwers died in a plane crash in Southern Colorado on Wednesday, July 15. He was 17 years old and just completed his junior year at NHS. The Niwot Community Semi-Marching Free Grange Band has been given the honor of playing the National Anthem at the Colorado Rockies game on June 27, but their story neither starts nor ends there.
