A loud crash interrupted a quiet Saturday morning in Niwot when two airplanes collided in mid-air and fell to the ground, resulting in the deaths of the two pilots and one passenger. On Dec. 30, 2021, the devastating Marshall Fire destroyed neighborhoods and shattered families. In response, local community members created the Niwot Small Town Big Heart Marshall Fire Fund, working through the Community Foundation Boulder County.
