Last week the Colorado Lottery announced winners of the 2018 Starburst Awards, which recognize public projects that use lottery funds, and the Niwot Children’s Park was one of 11 winners chosen statewide. The Niwot United Methodist Church choir will be heading to the famous Carnegie Hall in 2018 to perform a new Christmas cantata by Pepper Choplin, a renowned composer, as part of a 200-member choir. For youngsters in the area, Niwot Youth Sports (NYS) has brought a lifetime of memories and experiences since its beginnings with recreational baseball in the late 1960’s.
