The Small Town Big Heart Marshall Fire Fund is into its last group of events in an effort to get to the $100,000 finish line. City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) is considering and evaluating the use of e-bikes on some city open space trails. The restroom doors at Niwot Children's Park were vandalized earlier this summer when someone tore the signs off the doors. At this point, the boys restroom (on the east side) and the girls restroom (on the west side) are without identifying signs. After years without a teacher-led trip to Europe due to travel restrictions brought on by Covid, Niwot students were excited to be able to travel together. The Colorado legislature recently passed legislation to curb the powers of homeowners’ associations, and Governor Jared Polis signed the law June 3, 2022, to take effect August 10, 2022. The law grew out of abuses by HOA’s concerning fines, foreclosures, notice and collection activities. Among other things, the new law prohibits an HOA from seeking foreclosure based solely on fines assessed for violation of community rules.
