Softball: Cougars drop five straight

The Niwot softball team hit a tough stretch in their schedule, and now find themselves upside down in the win/loss column. After a 17-1 blowout loss to conference powerhouse Mountain View at home on Aug. 29, the Cougars dropped four straight games at the Erie Festival of Champions on Sep. 1 & 2. With another quick succession of tough conference opponents on tap next week (Silver Creek, Longmont, Northridge), it could be awhile before the Cougars can climb out of this hole.
