ALZHEIMER’S SUPPORT GROUP

An Alzheimer’s support group will meet on the first Wednesday of every month. This class is free and open to the public, no registration required.

The events are from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Niwot United Methodist Church, 7405 Lookout Road, Gunbarrel.

COMMUNITY DINNER

The community is invited to attend the 22nd annual Soup, Soup and More dinner on April 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Niwot United Methodist Church, 7405 Lookout Road. Proceeds to benefit OUR Center of Longmont and to help send the choir to sing at Carnegie Hall at the world premier of a Pepper Choplin composition on November 18, 2018.

CENTENNIAL BALLET

The Centennial State Ballet will present The Sleeping Beauty at Niwot High School. Tickets at $22 for adults, $17 for seniors and students.

The Ballet Petit (for younger audiences) will be performed at 11 a.m. on April 21. The Gala performances will be at 2 p.m. on April 21, and 1 p.m. on April 22. Tickets at www.centennialstateballet.org or 303-772-1335.

NHS CHEERLEADERS

The Niwot High School cheerleaders will be looking to form the 2018-19 squads. Clinics will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m on April 23 and 24. A parent meeting will take place at 5:30 on April 23. PARENT EDUCATION

Twin Peaks Charter Academy will be having a showing of “Screenagers: Growing up in the Digital Age,” a documentary addressing the parental issues that arise from social media, video games and the internet. The event is free and open to the public, it will be held at 7 p.m. on April 24, at 340 S. Sunset Street, Longmont. Register by calling 303-772-7286.

NOW & THEN LECTURE SERIES

Ghost towns, abandoned diggings and lost mines of the Old West will be the topic for this month’s lecture sponsored by the Niwot Historical Society. The event is free for NHS members and $5 for non-members. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. on April 25 at the Left Hand Grange 195 2nd Avenue, Niwot.
