All Local, All The Time
Niwot Tavern, owned by Tony Santelli, Gary Zarlengo, and Bob Russell, is celebrating its 14-year anniversary.
“When I look back,” Santelli said, “little did I know that buying a tavern would be for me a life-changing event. Although we lived in Niwot eight years before I purchased the tavern, we really were not in any way connected to Niwot. Once I purchased the tavern that opened an entree of things.
“To eventually get into the Niwot Business Association as the president and the Local Improvement District for 10 years and the Revitalization Committee…all the things that are special in a small town. Also, from the point of view of having a small business, you learn that your customers become your really good friends and your employees become family and it’s a connection you don’t normally get.”
Shift manager Stacy Szydlek said in honor of the occasion, the Tavern will be offering lunch and dinner entree specials of Roasted Chicken, Fish and Chips, Ratatouille, and Sirloin Steak for $7 each, Jan. 27 – 30, along with happy hour specials every day from 2 – 6 p.m.
