All Local, All The Time
A bear sleeps in a tree along the Niwot Loop Trail July 16. According to Niwot resident Joy Burden, the bear later jumped down from the tree, climbed a fence, cut across her yard and through the cul de sac. Animal control officers from the Boulder County Sheriff's Department arrived shortly thereafter to attempt to tranquilize the bear.
