All Local, All The Time
On Dec. 30, 2021, the devastating Marshall Fire destroyed neighborhoods and shattered families. In response, local community members created the Niwot Small Town Big Heart Marshall Fire Fund, working through the Community Foundation Boulder County.
Multiple festivals and charity events took place over the course of 2022 and the fundraiser has currently raised $93,436. Now comes the Grand Finale Fundraiser, which will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 4-8 p.m. at the 1914 House restaurant. Live music will be hosted by DRF Real Estate and cocktail hour will be sponsored by both DRF Real Estate and Seven Wealth. Other key sponsors are Deborah Read Fowler Realtor, Colorado Landmark, Forbes, 1914 House, and Slifer, Smith, & Frampton.
Reservations for this fundraiser can be made at https://www.exploretock.com/1914house/. The price to reserve a table is $100 as all the proceeds will go towards the Marshall Fire Fund. There will also be a silent auction where patrons can bid on multiple vacation trips, which include: Telluride Luxury Resort, Tupac Golf Resort & Spa, Fairmont Golf Getaway, Sonoma Luxury Hotel, San Diego Golf & Spa, Las Vegas Getaway, Disney World in Orlando, a guided fishing tour, and other destination vacations that include cooking, art, and culture.
The goal is to reach $100,000 by the end of the night. All donations will go directly to the families in need who lost their homes in the fires. The fund is administered by the Community Foundation Boulder County and you can call 303-442-0436 to learn more about their programs.
Deborah Fowler , who is the main coordinator of this fundraiser for the Niwot Business Association, said, "I'm super excited about this event, because I know we can reach our $100,000 goal. I'm so grateful for everyone's help and support." You can email her at [email protected] to learn more about this event.
