All Local, All The Time
Led by their five captains, Paris Stephens, Makenna Noterman, Fernanda Laguna-Perez, Jordan Tajchman, and Aditi Patel, Niwot Cheer is gearing up for a big season.
With a total number of 17 cheerleaders, including Hannah Rudolph, Isaac Lopez Romero, Jenna Johnson, Nadia Pai, Olivia Marcellus, Rue Brown, Asher Trujillo, Ashley Lovato, Clara Rhea, Elizabeth Sullivan and Estela Mendoza, Niwot is looking to not only bring school spirit to sports contests, but to also compete at a high level in the spring.
Coach Christina Ayers is looking to connect the team with the school after two long years of Covid, building the community and being seen within the school. She said Niwot Cheer is looking forward to building new traditions and bringing old traditions back.
Cougar Cheer builds community as the team has now been to every football game, including the away game at Thorton, repping school spirit at all times. Their two halftime shows have been well received by Niwot's home crowds, boosting the energy of the crowd, and the spirit of the school.
It's not just football either. The cheer team has been to tennis matches, soccer games, gymnastic meets, volleyball games, and helped at the Shine Prom.
Check out the Niwot Cheer team at home football games and look out for them at other Niwot events.
