Some of the artwork in the underpass mural along Niwot Road has peeled away (#1 and #2) and is in need of scraping, priming and repainting. The NCA is seeking volunteers to help with the project, including painting the top of the walls a solid color (#3).
The Niwot Community Association is seeking 8-12 volunteers to help with the restoration of the underpass mural on Niwot Road where the LoBo trail crosses near Centrebridge.
On Saturday, Oct. 8, the NCA is organizing a restoration project to repair and restore the mural which was created several years ago. The work will begin at 10 a.m. and is expected to wrap up by 12 noon.
The project includes peeling away paint that is separating from the walls, applying primer to the affected areas, and beginning the process of repainting the deteriorated artwork. Volunteers will also paint the top of walls a solid color.
All materials will be provided along with drinking water and light snacks. Anyone interested in volunteering should respond to [email protected].
