All Local, All The Time
Avery Brewing Company and Boulder County Elections are hosting a Vote Early Day on Friday, Oct. 28 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Avery Brewing Company, 4910 Nautilus Court in Gunbarrel. Avery is the site of the only 24-hour voter drop box in Gunbarrel.
Vote Early Day is a nationwide event that encourages early voting to avoid long lines, work and school issues and voter registration issues that might impede access to voting. Early voting opens in Colorado on Oct. 24 and can be done by mail or by dropping off your ballot at a designated drop box. Ballots have been mailed to registered voters.
The last day to mail your ballot is Oct. 31.
Molly Fitzpatrick, the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder, and some members of her staff will be at Avery Brewing to answer questions and give away free election swag.
“It is a great pleasure for us to host a Vote Early Day on a yearly basis, as well as to have a 24-hour mail ballot drop box at our location,” said Adam Avery, founder of Avery Brewing Company. “Building community is a core aspect of our business and we are honored to provide this opportunity for people to engage with the voting process in a relaxed environment.”
The RTD announced it will waive all fares on Vote Early Day to encourage voter participation. Avery Brewing is a walk away from the RTD 205 route.
