All Local, All The Time
Dale's Piano Playhouse put on a show for a packed house of 300 on Nov. 12 for a benefit concert for Recovery Cafe, according to Virginia Dutkin of Niwot. "We are fortunate to have such talented pianists in our community who are willing to share their incredible gifts with us all," Dutkin said.
"Our hope for 2023 is to move to a new location that is handicap accessible with a commercial kitchen and espresso bar so that we can provide job readiness training for our members," she said.
The lineup of musicians featured Dale Sherrod, who was joined by Paula Muncy, Karen Main and Scott Hamiin. They performed at Central Longmont Presbyterian Church as a benefit for Recovery Cafe, a non-profit helping create "a community of refuge and healing for people in recovery from addiction, mental health challenges, and trauma," Dutkin said.
Flatirons Bank and High Plains Bank sponsored the event, and donations totalled over $8,000 for the evening.
