Kristy Zado Profile

I am a long-time Colorado transplant by way of Chicagoland. I graduated from the University of Colorado with an English and Applied Arts degree and an MBA from Colorado State University.

I consider myself a renaissance woman, who is a former expat, having lived in Kyoto, Japan, for six years.

I reside in unincorporated Boulder County, own horses and love animals of all kinds. I also enjoy being mom to a 12-year-old daughter and wife to Justin Zado, a Niwot High School alum.

You can catch me traveling, skiing and doing novel things. I thrive on learning about people, places and things totally new to me. Writing for the Courier allows me to explore many new interests and expand my horizons.
