All Local, All The Time
Over the holiday season, Niwot High School was represented by senior Paris Stephens at the London New Year's Day Parade. She performed with Varsity Spirit All-Americans in an exclusive performance at Piccadilly Square. Stephens has cheered for Niwot High School for the past four years.
Beginning in 1987, the London New Year's Day Parade has attracted over 10,000 participants from the USA, UK, Europe and beyond, delighting a street audience of over 500,000 and a TV audience, which reaches more than 500,000,000 annually. This was the 30th time Varsity Spirit All-Americans has sent a select few American cheerleaders across the pond, with Stephens being the first Niwot High School student to represent the USA in the London New Year's Day Parade.
The London New Year's Day Parade is Stephens' second All-American performance; her first was in the Pearl Harbor Parade during her junior year. Her second All-American selection puts her in a group of an elite few cheerleaders who have achieved the accolade twice.
Stephens is committed to attend the University of Hawaii after graduation, where she hopes to pursue her cheerleading talents at the next level.
