All Local, All The Time
Niwot Youth Sports, which has provided youth sports programs in the Niwot and Gunbarrel area for over 50 years, has started construction on a multi-purpose building at Hangge Fields at Monarch Park, home to six ballfields for the baseball and softball program.
The Monarch Improvement Project started last fall with the design of the building, with architectural services donated by Osmosis Architecture. Porchfront Homes is the general contractor on the project and has provided discounted services.
Riki Frea, NYS Marketing Director & Fundraising Coordinator, said in an email to NYS parents and supporters, "We are excited to share that construction has begun. We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who has made an impact by helping us be able to get the building started. Thank you."
She continued, "But, we still need help from our community. The total cost of the project is expected to be $500,000. To date, we have raised just over $300,000 which allowed us to get started. However, we still need to raise the additional money so that we can see it through to completion. Our hope is to have the building close to finished and functioning by Opening Day on April 30th. We'd love to be selling concessions out of our new building and be able to offer real restrooms for our players and their families."
"We are asking for all current Niwot Youth Sports families, alumni, and friends to please consider donating to the campaign, and, to help us reach our goal sooner, we have a donor that will be matching all donations made over the next week, up to $20,000."
