George Ray Russell
Sunday, July 9, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
The Grange is proud to present George Ray Russell, the Wrangler of Rhymes, in an afternoon performance of cowboy poetry and song.
Award-winning Russell travels extensively bringing his love of the history and culture of cowboys. His original works are songs of adoration for the horses, hard times, humor, music, and mules of the American West.
The performance is free of charge, water and coffee will be provided, and you are welcome to bring snacks to share.
World Association of Puppetry & Storytelling Arts Summer Puppet Conference
Wednesday to Sunday, July 19-23
Explore the playful and artistic expression of puppetry at the Grange and also at Blue Sky Craft Studio, 7915 Niwot Road. The conference is open to the public, sessions are available in-person and virtually. The theme this year is "The Moving Arts of Puppetry and Storytelling for Joy and Wellbeing."
Join enthusiastic puppeteers, well-seasoned storytellers, teachers, and healers for hands-on workshops and performances. Whether you are a beginner or have been working with puppets for many years, you will appreciate the many ways in which this conference offers practical experiences with puppets, marionettes, stagecraft, and storytelling.
Open to the entire community, on Saturday, July 22, at 5 p.m., expert puppeteer Hobey Ford will be performing his original production titled "Animalia," featuring his carved foam animal puppets. Ford has built and performed with puppets for nearly five decades. Tickets for this show are $20 or $35 for a family ticket.
