Death Notice

Bert Steele (72), owner of Niwot Market, died Aug. 7 after a brief illness. Steele opened Niwot Market in Cottonwood Square over 20 years ago, and was involved in many community activities, including hosting the 4th of July pancake breakfast, providing breakfast for Pat Murphy’s annual Easter Egg Hunt, and sponsoring a Classic Car Show on Friday nights in the summer. A Celebration of Life will be held later.
