House Blend Band closes summer concerts

Michael Tomich and Patty Machen and their House Blend Band closed out a series of five summer street performances on Sept. 9 before an appreciative crowd. The co-owners of The Old Oak Coffeehouse performed a wide variety of well-known tunes on 2nd Avenue in Niwot, with Tomich on keyboards and vocals, and Machen on violin. Other family members and friends joined in the fun for the free event, partially funded by the Niwot Local Improvement District.

The last concert featured young musicians from the Niwot Gig as an opener, under the direction of Martin Marks, who also performed with the upcoming musicians. Look for the popular concert series again next May.
