Niwot boys soccer dominates at season's end, with a 9-0 win

The Niwot High School boy's soccer regular season has ended with Niwot winning their final game of the year, 9-0 against the Riverdale Ridge High School Ravens (2-13). Niwot is finishing the regular season with a 10-3-2 (7-2 league) record that ranks them as the third-best team in the Longs Peak League, securing a playoff spot for the upcoming state playoff tournament.

Niwot dominated against Riverdale Ridge, putting up nine goals while getting a shutout. Noah Beltran led the team in points, with two goals and one assist. Mohi Bauer also tied for the team-high in goals with two of his own.

Jett Feiner led the team in assists with three, while Josh Rodriguez got two, and Paris Lee added one. Rodriguez, Naveen Bopearachchigedon, Xayden Del Rio, Jay Scharfe, and Josh Ary each netted a goal. As for goaltending Lucas Willard and Malachi Gilmore split time, combining for one save and a shutout.

Niwot will be entering the 2023 playoffs with good odds to make a playoff push as they enter as the number 11 seed. They will face off against 22nd-ranked Pueblo Centennial this Thursday at 7 p.m. at home.
