Believe it or not, one of the most frequently asked questions on social media about the Niwot area is about local happy hours. We were happy (pun intended) to do a little research and provide the answer. As it turns out, there is no shortage of places in Niwot and Gunbarrel to enjoy discounts on quality food and drinks while relaxing after work. A few notable watering holes:

Niwot Tavern

7960 Niwot Road Time/Day: 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. daily A longstanding and traditional community bar and restaurant, Niwot Tavern has one of the most frequented area happy hours. It starts early, for those who want to get a jump on unwinding and includes discounts on drafts, wine, cocktails and select items from the bar menu.

Farow

7916 Niwot Road Time/Day: 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Wednesday - Saturday Farow lets you pair your glass of happy hour-priced wine and knowledgeable, creative cocktails with delicious farm-to-table menu items. Food choices include a happy hour burger (with a fancy sauce), charcuterie and select other snacks. For groups, bottles of wine are available at retail cost.

Raza Fresa

7960 Niwot Road Time/Day: 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and all day Thursdays Head here if you're looking for an early happy hour and crave $2.00 margaritas and discounts on wine and draft beer.

2nd Avenue

Cimmini's

300 2nd Avenue Time/Day: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Wednesday to Sunday, bottomless mimosas 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on weekends. Cimmini's regularly offers $2.00 off specialty cocktails. Although it's not technically happy hour, a brunch can be happy hour's weekend cousin and Cimmini's' brunch includes an option for bottomless mimosas.

Gunbarrel

5530 Spine Road Time/Day: 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tuesday - Sunday Appertivo has a broad wine and craft cocktail selection and small plates of interesting tapas that are fun to share. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available.

Avery Brewing Co. 4910 Nautilus Court Time/Day: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Happy hour offers $1 off per pint on more than 30 taps of Great American Beer Festival medal-winning craft beer.

Cafe Blue

Time/Day: 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday

Don't let the mini-mall location deter you. Cafe Blue is a cozy spot to meet friends and enjoy happy hour drinks and food. This bistro serves delicious consistent menu selections beyond pub fare and great happy hour drinks.
