Donald Earl “Don” Specht

Former Niwot resident Donald Earl “Don” Specht of Loveland, Colorado, died Dec. 17, 2023, after a long illness. Don was hired as chair of the math department at Niwot High School when it opened in 1972 and remained there until 1978 when he was hired to chair the math department at the newly constructed Skyline High School (SHS). He remained at SHS until his retirement in 1994. Memorial donations in Don’s name can be made to King of Glory Lutheran Church in Loveland or the Alzheimer’s Association.
