Boulder Country Day offering summer camps

If you are a parent, you probably have begun thinking about summer plans. One option is summer camp for the children. Boulder Country Day in Gunbarrel offers several options for children ages three to 13 with a wide variety of mix and match options to keep your child active and excited this summer.

For children ages three to five, “Camp Sandbox” offers half- and full-day options for four weeks from June 3-June 28. Camp Sandbox features weekly themes such as “Brilliant Bug Ball” and “Animal Rescuers” to capture children’s sense of wonder with plenty of time spent outdoors while also enjoying arts, crafts, music, science, movement, cooking, dramatic play, and games.

For children ages five to 13, Boulder Country Day offers “Camp Boom!,” a half-day, afternoon-only camp featuring exciting themes and weekly guest presenters in arts, crafts, music, science, physical fitness, cooking, dramatic play, nature walks, and games. Camp Boom! enrolls on a weekly basis.

One-week “Specialty Camps” offer children five to 13 a deep dive into a particular theme or subject such as pottery, chess, innovation, or art. Specialty Camps are morning and afternoon only camps.

Camp experiences can be combined and mixed such as a morning and afternoon Specialty Camp or a morning Specialty Camp with a Camp Boom! in the afternoon.

Boulder Country Day camps offer a healthy lunch program through its partnership with Sage Dining Services. Sage provides scratch cooking, locally sourced foods, crisp salads, and fresh fruits and vegetables for campers registered for camps other than their morning and afternoon Specialty Camps.
