Niwot High School girls golf finishes third in opening tournament

The Niwot High School girls golf season is officially underway as the team finished its first tournament March 16. The tournament, held at Eagle Trace High School and hosted by Broomfield High School saw 18 high school competitors.

Niwot overall placed third of the eighteen teams, led by two strong individual performances. Senior Mina O’Dell placed third individually amongst all athletes, followed by teammate Wendy Cheruiyot who placed fourth individually.

Niwot will take the course three times this week, starting the week at Cattail Creek Golf Course on Wednesday, April 3. The tournament is hosted by Berthoud High School. Niwot will then compete at Riverdale Knolls Golf Course, hosted by Riverdale Ridge High School on Thursday, April 4 and then end the week at Quail Dunes Golf Club on Friday, April 5, with that tournament being hosted by Fort Morgan High School.
