Young and very happy fans of the House Blend Band gathered in front of the stage awaiting more music at the House Blend Band's Summer Concert Series on Saturday, June 15, much to the delight of Paris Tomich who welcomed them with open arms. Playing its second concert of the season, The House Blend Band performed in front of a crowd of about 400 people, estimated to be larger than the opening concert last month. Marley Hill-Filben, who has been a barista at Old Oak Coffeehouse since 2021 and had worked her last shift earlier in the day, took to the stage as part of the tradition of employees joining coffee shop owners Michael Tomich and Patty Machen during the evening's performance. The eight-piece band will hold concerts on Second Avenue three more Saturday nights this year on July 20, August 10, and September 14 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Bring your own chair. Food and drinks are available at various restaurants on the street throughout the evening.
