Rutherford and Booth shine at All-State game

Niwot High School's softball season ended last fall, but for seniors Autumn Rutherford and Anne Booth, the last game of the season came in June.

Rutherford and Booth were selected to play in the Colorado High School Coaches Association (CHSCA) All-State game June 12 at Rawlings Field in Pueblo. Niwot softball coach Bobby Matthews said, "Players are selected by coaches who are members and teams are put together from all classifications."

Rutherford and Booth played for the Blue team, which won 10-5 over the Red team. Rutherford, a shortstop, will play at Colorado State next year. She went 2-4 at the plate with an RBI in the All-State game, while Booth went 1-3, and also drove in a run.
