All Local, All The Time

Home on the Grange

The main hall of Niwot Community Hall, the home of Left Hand Grange No. 9, is all alight with beautiful new features: suspended light fixtures on the ceiling and sconces on the walls.

More improvements are in the works for the main hall. In the next month, the mirrored wall and curtains will be removed and that section will be repaired and painted, and wainscoting will be installed to match the rest of the room.

Thanks to the time, effort, and generosity of Niwot Business Association volunteers, the Lobsterfest silent auction held on June 8 raised $2800 from the community when they bid on the services and goods donated by local businesses. The Grange was the fortunate recipient of those proceeds and wishes to acknowledge the NBA members for their generosity.

Wedding Planning Open House

Thursday, July 4, 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The Moment Wedding and Event Planning, owned by Catherine Van de Boogaard, who was raised in Niwot, presents a wedding open house. The main hall of the Left Hand Grange will be staged for a wedding and guests are welcome to learn about how the Grange could be their spot to hold a micro-wedding, both in size and price.

With her strong connections to local vendors for everything an event needs, from flowers to food, Van de Boogaard can organize an affordable and amazing dream wedding. The public can stop in to see the Grange in its matrimonial glory and find out more about having a special event in Niwot's most versatile venue.

Rock away the night while volunteering

Thursday, June 27, 7:00 - 9:30 p.m.

Niwot Community Hall, the non-profit organization that owns the home of Left Hand Grange No. 9, was selected to be the tip jar recipient at Rock & Rails on June 27. When an organization receives the proceeds of the nightly tip jar, they're asked to supply volunteers to be concert greeters, to sit at an information table at the entrance, and to assist with concert setup and breakdown.

This is an opportunity to tell concert goers about the Grange and to raise much needed funds.

It's always a fun time interacting with folks, having money thrown your way, and listening to the music.

The opening act on June 27 is Jack Hadley and the headliner band is One on One performing Motown favorites.

The first half of the evening is covered by volunteers, but additional volunteers are needed for the second half. If you would like help out and get a free volunteer beverage for your efforts, please write to [email protected]" target="_blank">[email protected].

The Grange is looking for a fundraising volunteer, a volunteer coordinator, and a grant writer

Now that the non-profit entity Niwot Community Hall owns the Grange building, the organization is looking for volunteer assistance to organize fundraising events, recruit volunteers, and to write grants.

If organizing events, working with volunteers, and applying for grants are your superpowers, you'll find great satisfaction helping this community center reach its goals. Please contact the Grange by writing to [email protected].
