All Local, All The Time

Blessings Day Spa Grand Opening

Blessings Day Spa has moved into a new location at 240 Second Avenue and will be having a Grand Opening on Aug. 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the new location. Blessings moved from its former location in Cottonwood Square next to Subway, and now occupies the space which was the former home of Nourish & Company. Blessings Day Spa offers facials, aesthetics, physical therapy and massage therapy.

"We moved because our lease was up, it was serendipitous about how it all came to be," said Julie Stenz, the owner of Blessings Day Spa. "Angela Hudgins from the NBA (Niwot Business Association) came in... I talked to her about wanting to move to Second Avenue and ...she'd heard Nourish was becoming available, so I contacted Anne Postle right away and it all came together within a day. The timing was right, it was just great and a perfect spot for Blessings."

There will be quite a few events at the Grand Opening, including several experts on hand to discuss the technology that Blessings incorporates, including Dr. Kirk Harvey, who will describe the energy-based skin tightening technique used at the spa. The Grand Opening will also include several drawings and give-aways for those who stop by. Blessings will be starting a new membership program during the Grand Opening for its clients.

"Blessings is a very communal environment." Stenz said about the spa. "It's a nice cozy nurturing spa, but it nurtures more than people's skin... It's about community and connection. It's about nurturing the spirit as well as their skin."

Blessings' physical therapist concierge, Heather Bell, helps relieve pain and strengthen weak muscles. She accepts drop-in appointments to help get care to those who need it right away. Jodi Habecker provides massage therapy for Blessings' clients.

The spa is also planning to host events every third Saturday on different topics, including ayurvedic themed events, health, wellness, and ancient methods of skincare.
