The Festival celebrates valuable pollinators with lots of events, educational talks, music, food, and honey for the whole family.

The day starts with a Honey Bee Breakfast at the Niwot Market at 8:00-11:00 a.m. A children's storytime and fun bee crafts will be in the Kid's Art Tent on Second Avenue from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. DRF Slifer Smith and Frampton Real Estate will get everyone in the bee spirit by distributing free bee antennas and flying around with the Queen Bee from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Blessings Day Spa, featuring Gina Patterson, will paint faces, and Blue Sky Craft Studio will perform a "Bee Fun Puppet Show" from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

The Niwot Emporium will be teaching festival goers how to roll beeswax candles, and Few of a Kind Mercantile will have free honey caramels for children. The Former Feed Store Gallery will host two beeswax art demonstrations at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and will host the Open Studios Pollinator Art Show all day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Local vendors can be found in bee-autiful booths along Second Avenue all day, offering mead tasting from local meaderies, food trucks, observation hives, and live music.

One of the larger educational events during the festival, The Tom Theobald Speaker Series, will be ongoing at the Left Hand Grange from 10 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. in roughly 30 minute sessions. Subjects include how to care for bees, mead making, wasps, how to create a "bee buffet" in your backyard and the life of the queen bee.

"A cornerstone of the festival is the Tom Theobald Speaker Series at the historic Niwot Grange Hall on 2nd Ave., named in honor of Tom who passed away in 2021," said the Honey Bee Harvest Festival organizing committee, which includes Victoria Keen, Dawn Server, and Deb Fowler. "He was a beekeeper in Niwot for 40 years and a fierce advocate for pollinators throughout his life. Enjoy fascinating talks by experts on bees, beekeeping, and other topics."
