Cougar golfers show consistency in fourth week of the season

The Niwot High School golf team continued its season at the Eaton High School Invitational on Aug. 29, where the Cougars secured a solid fourth-place finish among a field of twenty-five teams. The tournament at the Eaton Country Club saw Niwot achieving a team score of 226.

Windsor High School claimed the top spot with a score of 204, followed by Fossil Ridge High School in second with 217, and Monarch High School rounding out the top three with 222.

Niwot's top performer was junior Jackson Sessa, who finished tenth overall with a score of 74. Senior Jagger Kilpatrick was close behind, finishing eleventh with a 75. Senior Drew Stapp rounded out the team's scorecard with a 77, placing him seventeenth overall, while junior Charlie Budacz finished twentieth with a score of 78.

The Cougars are preparing for their next challenge at the Frederick Classic, which will take place on Sept. 5 at the Coyote Creek Golf Course. The golfers will aim to continue their steady play as they build momentum toward the latter part of the season.
