Niwot High School Clubs - Spotlight on the Investment Club

Niwot High School is host to over 60 student-run clubs, and one stand-out is the Niwot Investment Club, an economics-based club that teaches students about different types of investments (such as stocks, bonds, dividends) through stock market simulations and related activities.

Whether it be local competitions or in-club discussions, the group is dedicated to educating themselves on the growing world of investments.

A passionate group of students lead the Investment Club. The leadership consists of Aditi Patel, Tanner Cole, Liam Brennan, and Cienna Vercammen, all of whom are exceptional students academically. The members of the club are similarly focused, including Parker Marcoullier, Adler Ocampo, Zephyr Jackson, Miles Shaw, Colten Jones, Xuri Walton, Noah Patton, Adam Shoning and Saya Mahony.

Recently, the Niwot Investment Club and other Niwot teams attended the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge, and exceeded expectations, taking first, second, third, fifth and tenth places in competition with over 60 other local competitors.

Meetings are held every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. with the help of their club sponsor and NHS teacher, Angie Roberts.

While the Investment Club is a highly education-based club, its members bring fun and friendship to its meetings. The club's success can be partially attributed to the relationships between members. Not only do they elevate one another, but the leadership team also serves as inspiration for other members to gain a position on the competition team thereby furthering the legacy of the club.
