Boulder Country Day School students support Community Food Share

Community Food Share (CFS) is a food bank on a mission to eliminate hunger in Boulder and Broomfield Counties. CFS was established in 1981, and operated out of the Boulder Tech Center near Niwot for many years. These days, CFS operates out of a 55,000-square-foot facility located in Louisville. According to the website, CFS provided over 8 million meals in 2022, valued at more $18M.

Boulder Country Day School (BCD) students have been supporting the work of CFS this year through their service-learning program. They have held a back-to-school canned food drive, a turkey drive that collected 670 pounds of turkey, and designed hand-made holiday cards for families that visit CFS's pantry. In December, 20% of the proceeds from the sale of student artwork via the Artsonia platform will also be donated to CFS.

BCD encourages others to learn more about supporting CFS through school or corporate fundraising, as well as other ways to get involved, by visiting their website at communityfoodshare.org. You can also support CFS on Colorado Gives Day, Dec. 10.
