All Local, All The Time
Dear Valued Customers:
As I am sure most of you know by now, The Wheel House and Niwot Wheel Works will soon be undergoing some changes. The building where we are currently located was recently purchased by Cornelia Sawle, owner of The Niwot Inn. Coincidental to that, I decided I would not renew my lease due to expire mid next year (2025). I have very much enjoyed operating Niwot Wheel Works along with my dear friend and colleague, Fernando Tapia, over the past eight and a half years. And I have also enjoyed the past five years at our current location with the addition of The Wheel House and La Musette. From my time running the business, it is the relationships I have forged with the community, our customers and all the people I worked with that I value most. I will miss it to be sure, but it is time for me to move on. The great news is that both The Wheel House and Niwot Wheel Works will continue operating in Niwot. Here is what you can expect over the next six months or so.
Cornelia will assume ownership of The Wheel House come late spring and will operate the business with some positive changes that I believe you will appreciate. I will leave it to Cornelia to comment further on that. Fernando has chosen to continue operating Niwot Wheel Works at a different location in Niwot. The bike shop will cease operating at the current location by the end of the year. Fernando will be sharing news about the new location for Niwot Wheel Works in the next few weeks. By the way, we are hoping to move all of our bike inventory by the end of the year and are marking prices down commensurately.
As was previously announced, Skyla Olds is stepping away from La Musette on Dec 15, 2024 I want to thank Skyla for her tireless dedication to La Musette and our overall operation. I am still in awe of what amazing dishes she can produce out of a food trailer. As she announced, she hopes to be back creating delectable delights somewhere in Niwot later next year. I am happy to share that Darragh Craugh will be serving food from the food trailer upon Skyla’s departure.
In summary, The Wheel House will continue operations as is through the winter and early spring after which Cornelia will assume ownership of the business. Darragh Craugh will serve food from the food trailer beginning December 17th. Niwot Wheel Works, the bike shop, will cease operations at the Christmas break and will reopen at another location in town soon to be announced.
Thank you all for your business and for contributing to the charm of our community gathering space.
Sincerely,
Eric Bergeson
