NHS boys soccer scores CHSAA 2024 All-State honors

The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) has announced its 2024 All-State boys soccer selections for Class 4A, with Niwot High School's Jay Scharfe earning Second Team honors after a stellar senior year.

Scharfe, who demonstrated versatility at both left and right back positions, capped off an impressive high school career with three goals and six assists in his final season. His career statistics include seven goals and eight assists across 48 games, showcasing his consistent contribution to the Cougars' program.

The Cougars' presence on the All-State roster extended beyond Scharfe's Second Team selection, with two players receiving Honorable Mention recognition. Senior defender Leo Broteland, who accumulated 31 career games, and promising sophomore Will Gabrielson, who has already logged 24 varsity appearances, both earned spots on the distinguished list.

Under the guidance of head coach Stephen Dimit, Niwot's predominantly senior-led squad finished the 2024-25 season with a 9-6-2 overall record, including a 2-3-2 mark in league play. The team, composed of 12 seniors, seven juniors, and three sophomores, ranked 40th in the state.
