All Local, All The Time
Last year was Niwot Hall's first as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Many donations were made throughout the year, and end of the year fundraising efforts resulted in additional tax deductible donations of just over $8,000 thanks to participation in the Colorado Gives Foundation, two Rebecca Folsom concerts, and the sale of Carolyn Bradley paintings displayed in the Hall.
Niwot Hall is operated solely by unpaid volunteers and several new volunteers have just been welcomed to the organization. Gary Vehrenkamp and Gregg Hangge have joined the Board of Directors, Liz Tobiason has assumed rental management responsibility, Barbara Bintliff will be the Hall's grant writer, and Rylan Bowers took on the role of webmaster.
The Hall extends a huge round of applause and great appreciation for Kellie Beran who is retiring from her roles as vice president, director, and rental manager after many years of service, and Leonard Sitongia who has been the webmaster for several years.
Niwot's Deborah Read Fowler of DRF Real Estate and Angie Miltersen of A Few of a Kind Vintage + Mercantile were essential this holiday season for all of their creativity and energy putting together special community events.
The Hall is hoping to recruit a volunteer fundraising coordinator to put on more community events in 2025 to support this historic venue.
Here is what is happening at the Hall:
